Golden Sands Holiday Park Enhances Safety and Comfort in Pool Changing Areas

• Problem

  Darren, from Golden Sands Holiday Park, reached out following a refurbishment of the site's swimming pool and changing room facilities. Although non-slip tiles had been installed throughout the main walking areas, he was seeking an additional layer of comfort and safety, particularly for the changing rooms where guests move directly from the showers. The concern was reducing slips and ensuring a more comfortable, hygienic space for guests walking barefoot.

• Solution

  To improve comfort and slip resistance, Darren selected Plastic Duckboard Matting Rolls from First Mats. The rolls were custom cut to fit each individual cubicle, as well as the main walkway of the changing room. The open-grid design of the matting allows water to drain effectively, while also offering excellent grip for wet feet, helping to reduce the risk of slips and falls.
