Heavy-Duty Workbenches - More Information

Heavy Duty Workbench

Heavy duty workbenches are designed for demanding manufacturing environments or light engineering use, and can withstand a Safe Working Load (SWL) of 1200kg, evenly distributed. These super-strong workbenches are made in the UK from 16 gauge steel frames, which are fully-welded and have a graphite grey powder-coated finish for extra durability. They are supremely strong, robust, and come with either a laminate or solid wood worktop, giving you greater choice for your workbenches.

What are the main benefits of Heavy-Duty Workbenches?

The key benefit of heavy duty workbenches over our standard industrial workbenches is their superior strength. The fully welded design with 16 gauge steel framework and powder coating makes them ideal for more intensive manufacturing and assembly line environments. The fantastic UK-made quality of these workbenches ensures great reliability for years to come. They are perfect for companies looking for a top quality, long-term investment.

Our heavy duty workbenches come with the option of a 20mm thick laminate worktop or a 27mm thick solid wood worktop. 7 ready made workbench "kit" options are available, starting with a basic workbench with no added features, to those including storage cupboards, drawers, power plugs, louvre panels, storage shelves, and lights. Each kit design can be interchanged as necessary, giving you great flexibility.

All the heavy duty workbenches in stock are delivered in knock-down form and can be easily assembled on-site. This enables users to quickly install the workbenches without encountering any lengthy loss of productivity. We can deliver the majority of our workbench products in 15 working days - or even 5 days for some items (see individual product descriptions for more information)

What people can benefit most from using Heavy-Duty Workbenches?

Heavy duty workbenches are best suited for manufacturing environments where assembly lines need to be robust and reliable to meet demand. They are also suitable for light engineering use. Typical examples are the repair and maintenance of white goods, packing and preparation of heavy parcels, and other tasks that require a heavy weight capacity of up to 1200kg SWL.

Which Heavy-Duty Workbench should I choose?

We offer a wide variety of workbenches in different formats, from a basic bench with no added accessories, to those with lighting, storage cupboards, power outlets, louvre panels, and extra storage shelves. We also give customers the option of a solid wooden worktop or a laminate worktop.

The height of our heavy duty workbenches remain the same, but a choice of lengths are available. The best workbench ultimately depends on the type of tasks the user intends on undertaking, so consider what additional items you would benefit from (e.g. the Louvre panel or lighting) so decide which workbench will most suit your needs.
