Workbenches

If you run a production facility or own a workshop, you know just how important workbenches are. They provide you with strength, durability, and functionality to carry out all your daily tasks efficiently.

That is why here at First Mats, we have created a hand-picked selection of our favourite workbenches, you can organise your workplace and keep the production line moving nicely.

Dealing with heavy loads

When working in engineering and manufacturing, you may have hefty loads in your work area, which is why you need a workbench that you can rely on.

Our Heavy-Duty Workbenches can withstand an impressive Safe Working Load (SWL) of 1200kg when evenly distributed. This means you don’t need to worry about your workbench cracking under pressure as they are supremely strong, robust. You can choose from either a laminate or solid wood worktop.

Working with electronics

If you work in electronics assembly, maintenance, or the repair industry, you want a workbench that protects your sensitive components and goods from any damage.

That’s where ESD Workbenches come in. They have multiple safety features such as a specialised worksurface and an earth socket that minimise the risk of electrostatic energy transmission to nearby electrical components.

On the move

If you have a job that requires you to constantly be on the move and take your tools with you, then you may benefit from one of our Mobile Benches. They provide you with a strong and stable work surface wherever and whenever you need it.

Some mobile workbenches are also fitted with wheels so they can be moved across sites with ease, reducing the risk of injury and improving productivity.

What should I consider before purchasing my workbench?

There are two main things to consider when purchasing your workbench:

  • Height: Are you going to use your workbench standing up or sitting down? By choosing the correct height for your needs, you can minimise the chances of injury or back strain whilst working. If you are unsure about the height, take a look at our Adjustable Height Workbenches that have built in manual or electric height adjusters, so you can always have the items you are working on set at the ideal level.
  • Materials: Consider what type of worksurface you may benefit from the most, and how the construction of the workbench will affect your work. If you work in the food and catering industry, Stainless Steel Workbenches may be the best option for you. These provide a large, level, and sturdy working area, as well as being very easy to clean and sterilise.

You can find a wide selection of other workbenches including industrial workbenches and industrial workstations that you can utilise in your workplace.

Feel free to have a look at our full range of workbenches that have all been tried a tested to the highest of standards – as evident by our 4.8 out of 5 Trustpilot rating.

If you require any assistance with choosing the best workbench for you, please do not hesitate to get in touch with our friendly team who will be more than happy to help.
