Whether our Studded Rubber Coin Matting Rolls (3mm & 6mm) are suitable for wheelchair use depends entirely on the installation, not the product alone, as no single item is officially "DDA compliant." The matting's rubber material provides a naturally firm, stable, and highly slip-resistant surface, which meets the core safety needs for wheelchair access. To ensure full accessibility and compliance with the Equality Act 2010, the matting must be securely and permanently adhered to the floor to create a seamless, flat surface. Any exposed edges, especially with the 6mm thickness, must be finished with low-profile, bevelled edging to eliminate trip hazards and ensure a smooth transition for wheelchairs.

Yes, our Studded Rubber Coin Matting Rolls are often suitable for lining the floor of a residential lift, provided the installation is correctly managed. The rubber is durable and provides an excellent non-slip surface, which is a key safety requirement for lift floors. Before fitting, you must check the lift manufacturer's specific guidelines regarding approved flooring materials, maximum floor load, and adhesive compatibility. You will also need to ensure the matting is cut precisely to fit edge-to-edge, is fully adhered to the lift floor, and does not interfere with the lift's door operation or safety sensors.
