Weld-Diamond Anti Fatigue Welding Mats

Welding is a tough, hard and sometimes dangerous job. That's why employers should take every precaution possible to improve comfort for welders, as this will lead to a safer and more productive working environment. Fortunately, our Weld-Diamond Anti-Fatigue welding mats are perfect for such a task.

Designed for heavy-duty industrial applications and featuring a flame retardant diamond tread surface, this welding mat is ideal for welding bays and other demanding industrial uses.

What are Anti-Fatigue Welding Mats?

Anti-Fatigue Mats are designed to improve comfort for workers who stand on their feet for long periods of the day. Welding Mats offer all of the benefits of regular anti-fatigue matting with the added benefit of being fire-resistant.

Benefits of Using Anti-Fatigue Welding Mats

The benefits of using a welding mat extend beyond simply making welders feel more comfortable. Anti-Fatigue matting reduces workplace injuries and absenteeism whilst boosting staff morale and productivity.

  • Reduces the risk of slips on floors
  • Improves comfort and morale for workers
  • Reduces absenteeism and injuries
  • Reduces fire risk in welding bays
  • Increases worker productivity
  • 15mm Overall Thickness

Fire Resistance Testing

Many welding mats state that they are fire-resistant, but the Weld-Diamond is fire tested to BS EN 13501-1:2002 with a classification of Cfl-s1. The test establishes at what level radiation energy in kW/m2 the flames extinguish.

  • 4.5 kW/m2 is the minimum value for class Cfl-s1
  • The value determined for vertical flame spread must not exceed Fs 150 mm within 20 seconds.

Compatibility

  • Wet areas - No
  • Trolley wheels over the surface - No
  • Chemical resistance - No

First Mats - Product Scores

Anti-Fatigue Rating Anti-Fatigue - 5/5 This mat offers Excellent anti-fatigue properties. This is measured by ASTM D3547 which records the compression and decompression of the mat. The higher the rating the better its anti fatigue qualities.
Slip-Resistance Rating Slip Resistance - 3/5 This mat provides Good slip resistance. This is measured by ASTM C1028-89 & DIN-E-51130, 51097 which tests the force required to cause slippage of a load across the mat. The higher the rating the higher the slip resistance
Wear-Resistance Rating Wear Resistance - 5/5 This mat offers Excellent resistance to wear. This is measured by ASTM D3844-92 which subjects the mat to 5000 cycles under an abrasive wheel. The higher the rating the longer the life span of the mat.
Fire Resistant Fire Resistant - This mat carries a flame retardancy certificate. Please check that this is suitable for your environment.
